How can I fulfill new Shopify orders from my own stock instead of the supplier?

1 min read · Updated 20 Oct 2026

If a product originally came through Droppery but you now have the item physically in your own stock, it is possible to use that stock for future orders.

When a returned product becomes your own stock:

If a customer returns a product and you receive the item back, process the return for that product within the corresponding order.

Droppery will then register that the product is available in your own stock.

When a new order is placed for that product, Droppery will notify you that the order can be fulfilled from your own stock.

If you choose to fulfill it yourself, the order will not be sent to the supplier for fulfillment.

Managing fulfillment locations in Shopify:

Shopify also allows you to prioritize different fulfillment locations.

For example, you can prioritize your own warehouse or physical stock location over a dropshipping location. Shopify can then use your preferred location when stock is available there.

The configuration of fulfillment-location priority is managed directly within Shopify.

For detailed instructions on setting up your locations and making sure orders are routed according to your preferred fulfillment setup, we recommend contacting Shopify Support.

Droppery retrieves incoming orders for products connected through Droppery, while the configuration and prioritization of Shopify fulfillment locations is managed within Shopify itself.
